My family and I are engaged in a year long residency at Kimbercote Farm, a community-building, environmentally-aware retreat and community centre south of Georgian Bay.
Living locally
My sister-in-law and her family is joining ours in an effort to live well while reducing our impact on the earth.
Helping with a book
I am working on a web-based (and eventually print-based) project about mud and community with builder and author Kiko Denzer.
Making music
I am writing, and playing music with friends. There's nothing like a newly set-up guitar.
Designing
After nine years of designing Canada's national dance magazine, The Dance Current, I have retired. Future projects include poster and calendar design, as well as plans for a book-length project.
Homeschooling
My husband and I unschool our two children, which is to say that we live our lives, get things done, hang out, and go places together.

- Georgie Donais
- Georgie builds earthen art in public space, homeschools her two children, plays music, does aerial silks, and knits. She and her family are spending a sabbatical year in rural Ontario as the family-in-residence at a retreat centre, where she is gearing up to do some more earthen building.
